Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a talented Sous Chef specializing in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine for a unique opportunity with a high net worth family in Sharjah. The role involves collaborating closely with the Head Chef to create exceptional dining experiences in a private setting. The position offers a salary of 15,000 - 20,000 AED plus UAE standard benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles of Italian and Mediterranean dishes.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Experience working in private residences or with high-profile clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of menus featuring Italian and Mediterranean dishes.
  • Prepare, cook, and present food in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage kitchen activities and ensure the quality of all dishes served.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting best practices and culinary techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure food safety compliance.
  • Source and select high-quality ingredients for dishes.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to innovate and develop new recipes.
