My client is a leading school, as part of a larger growing group of schools in the UAE. It has been established for about 25 years and has many expat teachers at the school. I am seeking a qualified and experienced Primary Art Teacher or a Teacher of Art willing to do primary level. The students are mainly local but well behaved. You will need to be a teacher that can inspire the love of Art in the lessons and make the learning relative and fun. The school is well resourced with a vibrant teaching and leadership team. This is a great opportunity to pick up the USA Common Core and the IB curriculum. Many of the teachers recruited are from western countries and the medium in which teaching and learning is done is English.

Requirements to apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary/Elementary Education with a specialism in Art OR
• A degree in Art with a teaching qualification like a PGCE or USA Teaching license
• M.Ed. in Primary/Elementary is beneficial
• At least two years of full‑time experience as elementary teacher
• Trained from a recognised university
• Have a high level of written and spoken English
• Tech savvy to use MS Teams, Zoom, MS Office suite and Google Apps
• MUST have a HIGH COMMAND of written and spoken English or IELTS level 7 to be considered

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans that are engaging and fun to teach
• Create the lesson plan resources to ensure students are equipped during the lesson
• Differentiate your lessons to meet the needs of your students
• Carry out formative assessment on a regular basis to ensure students are meeting the standards that are required
• Promote an inquiry based classroom
• Decorate your classroom to promote teaching and learning
• Create a classroom environment that promotes students to learn independently and also to engage with peers and teachers
• Have excellent classroom management
• Attend parent teacher conferences
• Attend staff briefing
• Plan collaboratively with other et to teachers
• Attend department meetings
• Attend after school IB PYP CPD training sessions
• Be able to work independently as well as with the team

Salary Package

Salary range, dependent upon years of experience and qualification:

• AED 12,000 AED to 15,6750 AED per month

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification: Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification.
