Job summary

A leading consulting firm is looking for a highly experienced Senior Piping Material Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, particularly in FEED and Detailed Design phases. You will prepare and coordinate piping specifications and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes. Strong hands-on experience with ADNOC Onshore projects and excellent communication skills in English are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in ADNOC Onshore projects is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review Piping Material Specifications and Piping Class Specifications.
  • Prepare Material Requisitions for pipes and fittings.
  • Coordinate with design, stress, and procurement teams.
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and project specifications.

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Piping Material Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, specifically in FEED and Detailed Design phases. The candidate must have strong hands‑on experience in ADNOC Onshore projects and be well‑versed with ADNOC standards, specifications, and international codes. The role involves preparation, review, and coordination of piping material specifications, datasheets, MTOs, and vendor documents while ensuring compliance with project requirements, ADNOC standards, and international codes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and review Piping Material Specifications (PMS) and Piping Class Specifications.
  • Prepare and review Material Requisitions (MR) for pipes, fittings, valves, and specialty items.
  • Prepare and validate Material Take‑Off (MTO).
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC Onshore standards, project specifications, and international codes (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO).
  • Review vendor documents, technical bids, and material submittals.
  • Coordinate with piping design, stress, process, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor clarifications.
  • Support procurement team during material selection and technical queries.
  • Ensure materials are suitable for sour service (NACE compliance where applicable).
  • Address technical queries (TQs), deviations, and site clarification requests.
  • Support construction and commissioning teams with material‑related technical support.
  • Ensure proper documentation and material traceability requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings with client (ADNOC) and PMC.
Key Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of: ASME B31.3, ASME Section II, V, VIII, API standards, ASTM material standards, MSS SP standards, NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156.
  • Experience in handling: CS, LTCS, SS, DSS, SDSS, Alloy materials, High‑pressure & high‑temperature systems, Sour service applications.
  • Familiar with ADNOC Onshore specifications and procedures.
  • Experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering deliverables.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Materials (SPM) / AVEVA / PDMS / E3D is preferred.
  • Good understanding of procurement cycle and vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in ADNOC Onshore projects (mandatory).
  • Strong communication skills in English.
