Job Overview
GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is seeking a highly motivated and qualified UAE National Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The Clinical Pharmacist will play a vital role in delivering patientcentered pharmaceutical care optimizing medication management and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficacy in treatments for diabetes and related conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Management and Optimization
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy appropriateness and compliance with evidencebased guidelines.
- Provide personalized medication counseling to patients ensuring they understand their treatment plans and proper medication use.
Clinical Support
- Assist healthcare providers with selecting appropriate medications based on clinical guidelines and patientspecific factors.
- Support the management of complex cases involving polypharmacy or drug interactions.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all medications are stored prepared and dispensed in compliance with UAE regulations and facility policies.
- Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
- Stay updated on new pharmaceutical developments and changes in regulatory requirements.
Education and Training
- Act as a resource for patients and staff on diabetesrelated pharmaceutical care.
Quality Improvement
- Participate in audits quality assurance programs and initiatives to improve medication safety and patient outcomes.
- Analyze and report clinical outcomes related to pharmacotherapy.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- UAE National with a Family Book
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Valid DHA license as a Clinical Pharmacist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy role preferably in diabetes care or chronic disease management.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology diabetes medications and patient education strategies.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with patient counseling and disease education.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Certification in diabetes education or management is a plus.
