The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing advice on medications, maintaining records of medication use and advising customers on the selection of over-the-counter drugs. Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions from customers and verify accuracy of dosage instructions
• Dispense medications according to prescriptions, including correct dosage amounts
• Advise customers on the selection of over-the-counter drugs according to symptoms
• Answer customer questions regarding side effects, proper storage and usage instructions for medications
• Ensure correct labeling of medication containers with patient information, drug name, dose and directions for use
• Monitor inventory levels of drugs in the pharmacy; restock shelves as necessary
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions involving the sale or return of medications
• Follow all safety procedures when handling hazardous materials such as drugs or cleaning products
