Job description

We are looking for an experienced career paralegal for an international firm in their Dubai office.
While the primary focus of the role will be to work in the IDR team, the Paralegal may be required to assist lawyers
in the Funds, Corporate and Finance teams.
JOB DUTIES

The Paralegal will be responsible for all IDR work under the supervision of an Associate and work closely with the
Supervising Partner in the team.

Research and analyse law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties,
constitutions, legal codes and laws

Prepares legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, affidavits, appeals, contracts, correspondence,
settlement agreements, memoranda of advice for review, approval, and use by the Lawyer.

Manages the solvent wind-up of companies with appropriate supervision.

Investigates facts and laws to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly

To review first drafts of legal documents and alert Lawyers to pertinent issues arising

To maintain accurate records and correspondence files in relation to the Lawyer's client files

To liaise with clients as appropriate and in accordance with the Lawyer's instructions

To carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the job, including the performance of
duties outside normal working hours

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Qualified paralegal with experience within a legal environment (LPC or equivalent).
Understanding corporate and fund structures is preferable.
Experience in legal research.

Manage a complex and demanding workload and prioritise tasks and projects to meet work standards and

Communicate clearly and effectively legal matters both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels of
understanding. This will include high-quality correspondence

ideas and actively developing service improvements
