Job description
Job Purpose

To lead and oversee paint shop operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, regulatory compliance, and efficient task execution; Focuses on supervising painting activities, mentoring team members, optimizing workflow, and maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards while ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Key Result Responsibilities
  • Supervises and undertake complex/ extensive paint tasks
  • Ensures correct manhours booking in routine and non-routine task cards, Reviews of roster and control overtime.
  • Oversees daily operations, ensuring efficient task delegation and execution.
  • Maintains compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Reviews assigned task cards with the painters to gain full understanding of the work, priorities, documentation requirements and cautions, prior to starting work.
  • Prepares shift roasters for the paint team.
  • Enhances coordination and communication within the team to improve workflow and reduce downtime.
  • Performs defect rectification in accordance with approved Maintenance data.
  • Signs off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope of own authorization, verifying that the task card and associated documents have been completed to the required standard following completion of all maintenance.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
Work Experience

External Applicant:

  • At least 3 years’ experience performing Paint maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance Workshop environment
