Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist to manage patient care and perform surgeries in accordance with established standards. The ideal candidate must hold an FRCS or MD in Ophthalmology and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role involves admitting patients, assessing conditions, and ensuring quality patient management. An active medical license and familiarity with CBAHI & JCI standards are also required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology after highest educational degree.
  • Must be fully licensed without restriction in the country of origin.
  • Conversant with CBAHI & JCI standards.

Job description

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in Ophthalmology, in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and MHC policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provides required patient care and management in the Ophthalmology in accordance with standards of medical care.
  • Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Ophthalmic Surgery according to his approved clinical privileges.
  • Admits patients, initiates investigations and ensures findings are recorded. Assesses patients' diseases or conditions to determine appropriate therapeutic moralities / procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate patient preparation for procedures / surgery and performs procedures / surgery as indicated in the signed clinical privilege form.
  • Follow up on investigation results or inpatients and outpatients and modifies treatment accordingly.
Qualifications
  • FRCS or MD in Ophthalmology from an accredited medical institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of Experience after highest educational degree in Ophthalmology (Pediatric).
  • Must be fully licensed without restriction in country of origin.
  • Conversant with the standards of CBAHI & JCI Standards.
