Job description

DESCRIPTION: To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall daily management of operational duties and deputize for the Operations Manager as required.
• Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
• Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure all shipments meet or exceed operational KPIs.
• Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach them when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
• Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality of their deliverables.
• Interview candidates for associate roles.
• Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring that administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed.
• Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking trends and reporting site performance.
• Help with training and mentoring new associates to provide the knowledge needed for successful task completion.
• Follow up on and resolve process‑related issues as required.
• Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 lb. of weight and lifting packages with up to 15 kg.
• Be flexible to work in different shifts and perform overtime when needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience in logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with planning performance metrics and process improvement.

• Manage associates and work on achieving productivity & quality.
