A leading engineering company in Sharjah is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations of pumps and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, strong leadership abilities, and expertise in wastewater treatment systems. Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in wastewater treatment or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use maintenance management software.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities across pumps, motors, valves, compressors, and piping systems.
• Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize plant efficiency.
• To provide supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinate work flow within the major work unit, including distribution work, disseminating information, providing technical assistance, and resolving supervised problems within the work unit.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in wastewater treatment or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of understanding technical drawings - 2D Drawings, fabricating, fitting, assembling, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Expertise in pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use maintenance management software.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
