Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Static Engineer to support an offshore project in compliance with ARAMCO standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review and engineering of static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems in line with project specifications and applicable codes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform engineering and design work for static mechanical equipment as per ARAMCO and international standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Review vendor documents, technical specifications, and drawings for mechanical static equipment.
  • Coordinate with procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure timely and compliant equipment delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical support and clarification during installation, commissioning, and testing phases offshore.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies during all project phases.
  • Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections when required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years in offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Previous experience with ARAMCO projects is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of static equipment engineering, including design, materials, welding, and NDT techniques.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools such as PV Elite, Compress, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with international design codes: ASME Sec VIII, API 650/620, TEMA, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ARAMCO Approval (preferred or must be eligible for approval)
  • Offshore Safety Certifications (BOSIET/HUET with CA-EBS)
