Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will operate under the direction of the Resident Engineer and the Project Manager contributing to the supervision team on major infrastructure projects with a specific focus on Sewage Treatment Plants (STP). The role involves overseeing the construction installation testing and commissioning of mechanical systems related to STP and associated infrastructure works.

Job Duties
  • Strong experience in the construction supervision of mechanical works particularly in STP water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
  • In‑depth understanding of Dubai Municipality standards and specifications related to mechanical and process systems for STP.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, perform inspections and develop relevant test plans for STP mechanical systems.
  • Monitor daily inspections, assess the performance of site inspectors and provide guidance to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Track progress of all assigned works and provide regular updates to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager for incorporation in project reports.
  • Review and validate red‑marked drawings and construction records for development of as‑built documentation.
  • Coordinate with design office regarding material submittals, method statements and responses to technical queries related to mechanical works.
  • Supervise mechanical installation works including but not limited to piping, pumps, blowers, valves, compressors and HVAC systems associated with STP operations.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing site activities, resolving technical challenges and maintaining compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Provide support in preparing project documentation, progress reports and inspection logs.
  • Strong reporting, communication and team leadership skills.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering supervision with proven STP project exposure.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
