Job summary

A leading energy company in the UAE seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing maintenance activities in water desalination and power generation plants. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7-10 years of experience, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Qualifications

  • 7-10 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance in water desalination or power generation plants.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role is mandatory.
  • Preference for UAE/Emirati candidates with Family Book.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical maintenance activities in the plant.
  • Monitor mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is correctly completed in SAP.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns efficiently.

Job description
Overview

To supervise and manage the mechanical maintenance activities in the plant, including preventative and corrective maintenance, planning for shutdowns, and overhauling work activities; organizing maintenance, troubleshooting and modification of all mechanical machinery in accordance with overall maintenance plans, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure plant availability and machine reliability.

Maintenance Management
  • Monitor the mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance and overhauling work activities to ensure safe and efficient application of procedures and implementation of optimal mechanical maintenance.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed in SAP correctly such as the Log, outlining the fault, method of repair and the time, labour and materials used in order to support timely availability of information.
  • Manage the timely response to all emergency breakdowns and provide prompt corrective action to ensure plant availability, thereby minimizing downtime and possibility of liquidity damages.
  • Develop and promote a condition based preventive maintenance culture on day to day basis by conducting troubleshooting and root cause analyses, finding solutions to reduce reactive maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor degree holder in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance either in water desalination and power generation plants, conventional plants, renewable plats (based on plant) where 2 years of experience are in a supervisory role.
  • UAE/Emirati with Family Book is preferred
