Job description
Job Purpose

As a MCC Planning Officer, you will supervise the administrative functions of the department and provide necessary functional support to the duty manager for day to day activities. Liaise with other sections to maintain necessary network connections and coordinate the sections activities. To supervise and guide ETCC's in their daily duties.

In this role, you will:
  • Supervise, monitor and record the training details of the department members and set a plan to meet the requirement.
  • Review the IT requirements of the section and budget for implementation in close liaison with the sections management.
  • Support and assist MCDM Engineers during an Aircraft on Ground (AOG)/Delay situation in efficient and effective handling of AOG/Delay process by ensuring the tasks like AOG checklist, communication, retrieval of data from Ultramain, coordinating Manpower arrangements & travel are carried out in addition to coordinating with other section and outstations.
  • Proactively co-ordinate and support Maintenance Control Duty Manager (MCDM)/Engineers, by providing a competent and effective interface between MCC and other sections of engineering, other EK departments and outstations. This includes all forms of communication on technical, procedural and administrative issues.
  • Represents MCC in meeting with EGIT / software vendors relating to implementation, improvements and enhancements of various IT applications. Custodian of E-iris and Ultramain application for the Maintenance control centre. Collation of data and Report generation will be one of the activities to be performed on a regular basis.
  • Monitor Outstation Debriefs and enter Mel Deferred Defects (MDD's) in Engineering Integrated Reporting and Information System (EIRIS), bringing significant defects to the attention of MCDM, as well as advising other sections of items having an operational impact. Responsible for the preparation, transmission and distribution of communication messages via e‑mail, telex, fax in regards to aircraft movements in particular delays as well as Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Provide full administrative back-up support to MCC operations through the maintenance of MCC electronic records and the provision of logistical support (office administration, filing systems, archiving data such as the mailbox, reports etc.). Perform analysis and generation of various engineering data reports which will include Monthly report, defect monitoring report, A380 defect monitoring status report, DD status report, as well as any specific reports requested by DSVP, SVP and MMC.
  • Monitor outstation delays and incidents and provide delay reports and Engineering Safety Reports, making sure they are entered in EIRIS and further distributed.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Education: A Level or High School Diploma or Vocational Diploma in Aeronautical / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Experience in Engineering Maintenance Control
  • A Level with 5 Years in Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or other associated Technical Support Organisation
  • Diploma holder with minimum 2 years experience in Maintenance Programmes / Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or associated Technical Support Organisation.
  • Experience in the application & administration of Aircraft Regulatory & Legislation requirements associated with Airworthiness Compliance & Management
Knowledge and Skills
  • Must be fully conversant with aircraft documentation and records including AMM, IPC, work packages and maintenance schedules.
  • Have an understanding of Aircraft / Power Plant Systems and Components.
  • Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
  • Use of Airline / MRO M&E Data Management and Digital Documentations Systems is preferred.
