Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Uniform Control – Master Tailor to join the resort’s uniform control team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all tailoring operations, ensuring garments meet high standards of quality, fit, and finish.
• Perform precise alterations, repairs, and fittings for uniforms.
• Collaborate with the Uniform Control team to maintain consistency tenter destructive garment presentation and inventory.
• Train, supervise, and mentor tailors and seamstresses to uphold craftsmanship standards.
• Monitor daily production output of tailors and seamstresses to maintain productivity.
• Inspect incoming uniforms for quality assurance and recommend adjustments or corrections.
• Maintain tailoring equipment and ensure workspaces are clean, organized, and safe.
• Source and manage tailoring materials, including threads, zippers, and specialty fabrics.
• Document tailoring work, including measurements, alterations, and garment history.
• Ensure compliance with textile care standards and garment handling protocols.
• Support uniform rollout initiatives, including fitting sessions and mass alterations.
• Stay updated on tailoring techniques and garment technologies relevant to luxury hospitality.
• Safeguard and manage Uniform fitting sheets and related documentation.
• Lead physical inventory checks of spare uniforms.
• Ensure strict compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies & Procedures (P&Ps).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the direct superior.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of professional tailoring experience, ideally in luxury hospitality or uniform control.
• Expertise in garment alterations, fittings, and repairs across various fabric types.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and textile properties.
• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines including embroidery machines, pressing equipment, and tailoring tools.
• Ability to interpret design specifications and uniform standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction.
• Experience supervising or mentoring tailors or seamstresses.
• Familiarity with textile care and garment handling protocols.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume wardrobe operations, preferably with automated conveyor and UHF RFID uniform management systems, housekeeping, or inventory management.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sending emails.
• High school diploma or completion of vocational training in sewing, tailoring, or garment construction.
