Role Overview

Global Finance is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Our global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions. We are currently seeking a high calibre UAE National to join our team as an International, Wealth & Premier Banking Finance Manager in MENAT with a focus on supporting business in executing the Wealth growth strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the MENAT IWBP, CFO in the delivery of the Wealth and Premier Solution (WPS) performance management related activities including developing MIs for the tracking and monitoring of Investments, forecasting and planning, providing value added and actionable insights of the wealth business, supporting project and strategy etc.
• Partner across key stakeholders including Group IWPB Finance, IWPB MENAT Transformation and Wealth business, MENAT SP&A, Global Finance Centres, IWPB Group Strategy.
• Challenge performance drivers vs target and prior year to identify and quantify risks and opportunities, and pro‑actively track and drive associated actions through to conclusion including verbal/written updates to senior management (e.g. to OpCos, Board, Steering Committee).
• Closely track and enhance the analysis of UAE Wealth HUB investment spend via engagement with transformation, business and other teams and also track the revenue generated, Key KPIs achieved through these investments and compare it versus the commitment in the Strategy/ Business Cases.
• Lead on adhoc and larger scale project or group related activities setting up Segment reporting & MIs, IWPB strategy refresh, review and challenge business cases and marketing campaigns, support in new product and capabilities launches. Tech Investments and other strategic / scorecard KPIs.
• Explore, implement and proactively drive forward the use of innovative technology within own or others teams (e.g. low code tooling such as PowerBI, Alteryx etc) alongside associated process and MI re‑engineering to enhance IWPB Finance efficiency, quality of analysis and control environment in our pursuit of supporting the business and achieving strategic objectives.
• Due to the high degree of change in the industry, regulatory environment, macroeconomic environment and internally, the role holder will be required to be comfortable with ambiguity and be adaptable to the evolving environment.

Experience & Qualifications

• A professional Finance qualification or degree (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) and previous performance management / analysis experience preferred.
• Proven experience of exploring, implementing or proactively driving forward the use of innovative technology within own or others teams (e.g. low code tooling such as PowerBI, Alteryx etc).
• Experience in operating at a senior level within complex Financial Services organizations (Banking preferred) and summarizing key issues, implications and recommending next steps in clear language.
• Significant business analysis experience to analyze/interrogate data and understand technical concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of excellent stakeholder management, working effectively across teams and problem solving with the confidence to make measured decisions which may have far reaching implications.
• Ability to work effectively with competing priorities, and apply analytical rigor and structure to unstructured problems or complex asks.
