Job description

Lead the Data Center Facilities Operations team to manage end-to-end site operations across client data centers, including preventive and corrective maintenance, environmental monitoring, critical infrastructure systems, security and surveillance systems, budget management, customer installations, and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the optimal gate security systems, including access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
• Manage and maintain the client service contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and service levels.
• Provide end users with required hardware and software, ensuring timely deployment and operational readiness.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all installations and refurbishments, including telecommunications, electrical systems, heating, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure proper maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and infrastructure to identify repair or renovation needs.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement cost-optimization initiatives.
• Supervise and manage facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc.) as well as external contractors.
• Oversee facility-related operations such as parking allocation, waste management, and building security.
• Allocate and manage office space based on business requirements.
• Manage Facility related insurance policies, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Maintain accurate financial and non-financial records related to facilities operations.
• Perform operational analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support decision-making.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple locations.
• Possess proven people management skills, with experience leading and motivating diverse teams.
• Exhibit strong vendor and supplier performance management experience.
• Have experience setting up new facilities and building operational teams in new locations.
• Demonstrate strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification and Job Specific Skills

• BSc/BA in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
• UAE national preferred for this role.
• Experience in data center sector.
• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
