Position :

MAN MERCHANDISER MIDDLE EAST

Mission

The Man Merchandiser works closely with the General Merchandising Manager Middle East on the Middle Eastern retail network. He / She ensures the stores’ assortments are aligned to budget and seasonal analysis. Coordinates and provides product division buying estimates in terms of number of SKUs per category. Participation in the buying plan definition process by category and by store. Define, propose and implement product assortments by cluster – validate final assortment and quantities.

Job responsibilities :
  • Provide continuous feedback to HQ on products, customer behaviour, competitors, business opportunities.
  • Influence the sales plan definition by store for the Man category.
  • Validate proposed assortment and define quantities.
  • Participation in the sales plan definition process by category by regional store.
  • Define, propose and implement product assortments by cluster – validate final assortment and quantities.
  • Drive the product assortment execution in the stores.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports and be active part in regular Business Reviews with HQ.
  • Ensure continuous feedback to HQ regarding product performance, competition, demand evolution.
  • Nourish competency on business and markets by regular presence in stores.
  • Increase client advisors’ competencies in the stores through animation and training on selling techniques and propositions.
  • Promote and nurture in-store category expertise by being and active category ambassadors among the whole network.
  • Make sure each store is providing customers an effective presentation and experience of the category.
Profile
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in Luxury product Merchandising with focus on Retail;
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of the main players of the Business and Strong fashion sense.
  • Ability to understand current market trends and buying strategy;
  • Excellent merchandising skills with attention to detail;
  • Skills in the analysis of sales and market data;
  • Ability to both communicate and negotiate effectively;
  • Fluency in English (Arabic will be considered a plus)
  • Mastery of MS office tools
