Job summary

A logistics company in Dubai is looking for a Logistics Officer responsible for overseeing inbound operations and inventory management. The ideal candidate will manage outbound activities, coordinate transportation, track shipments, and work closely with sales and warehouse teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE, with a strong understanding of order management and proficiency in Arabic. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Title

Logistics Officer

Job Scope

The Logistics Officer is accountable for overseeing the inbound operations and inventory management. S/He maintains communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage outbound activities for customer orders
  • Manage outbound shipments, follow up with clearing and forwarding agents and monitor the turnaround time (TAT)
  • Process and document letter of credit (LC) for shipments
  • Coordinate and arrange transportation of shipments to destination
  • Track shipments and update customers on a timely basis
  • Cooperate with the sales and warehouse teams for smooth execution of shipments
  • Coordinate with clearing agents and customs to maximize efficiency in terms of time and quality
  • Verify customs documentations for exports and transfer of ownership
  • Manage the stock movement through the warehouse management system
  • Perform monthly stock audits
  • Coordinate with the CRM and credit teams for invoicing customer orders
  • Prepare and maintain the warehouse petty cash
Position Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field

Experience

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE.

Strong experience in reporting, order management, order tracking, and handling import & export operations.

Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Work schedule: Sunday to Thursday.

Arabic language proficiency is required to effectively support business operations across GCC and Levant entities.

Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice are highly preferred.
