The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from the warehouse to stores and between store locations. The role involves scheduling transportation, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating closely with stores, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure timely and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the daily driver roster.
- Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained, clean, and efficiently utilized.
- Prepare delivery schedules and ensure dispatch timelines are met.
- Coordinate with stores for IBT collections and deliveries.
- Plan vehicle allocation to support stock transfers, replenishments, and inter-branch transfers (IBTs).
- Maintain and update all logistics documentation, including delivery notes and proof of delivery (PODs).
- Track and monitor stock collection and delivery activities using the shipment tracker.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.
- Optimize delivery and transport costs through effective route and load planning.
- Arrange ad-hoc vehicle requirements for stock delivery and collection, and maintain the corresponding tracker.
- Coordinate with both in-house and 3PL drivers and monitor trip completion.
- Ensure all materials are delivered within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Manage the timely pickup, storage, and tracking of damaged goods.
- Monitor drivers' performance, ensuring that all trips are completed within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Ensure that all deliveries are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Follow and enforce best practices for secure and safe transportation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory coordination, or warehouse operations—preferably in retail or distribution.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, delivery partners, and customs processes (UAE experience is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar logistics platforms.
- Strong understanding of inventory flow, order processing, and shipment tracking.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams such as warehousing, merchandising, and store operations.
- Flexibility to support urgent deliveries or operational needs when required.
