The Linen Keeper is responsible for the proper receipt, storage, issuance, tracking, and inventory control of all hotel linen, uniforms, and related supplies. The role ensures adequate par levels are maintained at all times and supports smooth housekeeping and F&B operations in line with Accor brand standards and operational procedures.
Linen & Uniform Control
- Maintain accurate records of all linen/uniforms and laundry items received, issued, and returned.
- Ensure par stock levels are maintained for guest rooms, F&B outlets, spa, and other departments.
- Issue linen and uniforms against proper authorization and record movement daily.
- Monitor linen quality and segregate damaged or discarded items.
- Coordinate with laundry team for washing, replacement, and repair cycles.
- Conduct daily counting and verification of linen movement.
Inventory & Store Management
- Maintain linen room and uniform store in a clean, organized, and secure condition.
- Label, categorize, and arrange stock for easy identification and access.
- Conduct periodic linen and uniform inventory counts.
- Prepare inventory variance and loss reports.
- Support monthly stock audits and reconciliation.
- Monitor slow-moving and high-usage items and report trends.
Coordination & Operations Support
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Laundry, F&B, and Stewarding for linen requirements.
- Ensure timely distribution of linen to floors and outlets.
- Support new employee uniform issuance and record sizing details.
- Coordinate uniform exchange and replacement program.
- Assist during high occupancy periods and large events.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow Accor brand standards and housekeeping SOPs.
- Ensure hygiene and storage standards are maintained.
- Follow health & safety and fire safety procedures.
- Ensure pest control and moisture control standards in linen storage.
- Comply with sustainability practices related to linen reuse and waste reduction.
Financial & Control Responsibilities
- Minimize linen loss through proper control procedures.
- Track discard levels and report abnormal consumption.
- Support cost control initiatives related to linen and uniforms.
- Assist in budgeting linen replacement cycles.
Guest & Heartist Focus
- Support operational teams to ensure uninterrupted guest service.
- Maintain professional and cooperative communication with all departments.
- Demonstrate Accor Heartist values in daily interactions.
Qualifications
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or storekeeping preferred.
- Experience in hotel linen or uniform room is an advantage.
- Basic inventory and record‑keeping knowledge.
