Librarian vacancy in Abu Dhabi, UAE for unskilled worker

Librarian Position - Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking a highly motivated Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and assisting patrons in finding resources. Prior experience is not required, as training will be provided.

The salary for this position is 1500 AED per month. We are open to considering immigrant applicants.

Responsibilities include:

1. Organizing library materials and resources according to classification systems
2. Assisting patrons in locating resources and cataloging new materials
3. Creating library policies and procedures
4. Updating library collections
5. Developing promotional programs for library events
6. Assisting patrons in using computers and electronic media
7. Training staff on library procedures
8. Developing online databases of library materials

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, knowledge of library automation systems, strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of a foreign language is a plus but not essential.
