Overview
Apt Resources is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning & Development Senior Officer to join a dynamic HR team in Qatar. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive training solutions to empower employees and a culture of continuous learning within our organization. You will be responsible for designing,, and evaluating effective training programs that align with the strategic goals of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess organizational and individual development needs to identify training needs.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs that meet identified training needs.
- Collaborate with department heads to create tailored training initiatives that support departmental goals.
- Facilitate training sessions using a variety of techniques and methodologies to ensure effective learning.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Maintain training records, schedules, and compliance with quality standards.
- Research new training tools and methods to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training programs.
- Promote a culture of learning and development within the organization by encouraging teamwork and sharing best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic background: Bachelor's degree in engineering + Master’s Degree in Management (HR/Learning & Development is preferable or Master’s Degree in Management, specializing in Human Resources or Learning & Development Professional certification in Learning & Development (e.g., CTDP, CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 5 years are in positions demonstrating strong leadership / advisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in designing training materials and using learning management systems.
- Proven experience in training needs analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
