Apt Resources is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning & Development Senior Officer to join a dynamic HR team in Qatar. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive training solutions to empower employees and foster a culture of continuous learning within our organization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating effective training programs that align with the strategic goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess organizational and individual development needs to identify training needs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs that meet identified training needs.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create tailored training initiatives that support departmental goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions using a variety of techniques and methodologies to ensure effective learning.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records, schedules, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Research new training tools and methods to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training programs.
  • Promote a culture of learning and development within the organization by encouraging teamwork and sharing best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering + Master’s Degree in Management (HR/Learning & Development is preferable or, Master’s Degree in Management, specializing in Human Resources or Learning & Development
  • Professional certification in Learning & Development (e.g., CTDP, CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 5 years are in positions demonstrating strong leadership / advisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in designing training materials and using learning management systems.
  • Proven experience in training needs analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
