We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technical Architect / Technologist to join a dynamic award-winning multi-disciplined company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in technical architecture and architectural design, with a strong command of Revit. This role is perfect for a technically proficient individual with the ability to lead complex projects and deliver innovative architectural solutions. The Lead Technical Architect will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and execution of projects while providing guidance to junior architects and technologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design process for architectural projects from conceptualization through to construction.
• Provide strategic direction and technical oversight to ensure design solutions meet both client expectations and project goals.
• Use Revit as the primary tool for creating detailed architectural models, plans, elevations, and sections.
• Manage the creation of parametric models, 3D visualization, and technical drawings to the highest standard.
• Take ownership of the technical development and detailing of architectural solutions.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in all technical documentation and drawings, while adhering to local and international building codes and standards.
• Work closely with other design and engineering disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP) to integrate all technical aspects of a project.
• Coordinate and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Perform comprehensive technical reviews of all architectural and engineering documents to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
• Conduct regular reviews and revisions of design work to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing insights during meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
• Advise clients on design solutions, materials, systems, and construction processes.
• Lead, mentor, and train junior architects, technologists, and project team members to enhance skills and professional development.
• Stay up to date with the latest architectural technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Integrate innovative solutions into the design process, ensuring projects utilize the most current industry practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design and technical architecture, with a focus on high-level technical detailing and design execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling, detailing, and documentation. Ability to create and manage parametric models and 3D visualizations.
• Deep knowledge of construction methods, architectural detailing, material properties, and building systems. Ability to translate complex design concepts into technical drawings and buildable solutions.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate technical details and design solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Strong collaboration skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other related design and documentation software. Familiarity with additional tools like Rhino, SketchUp or 3ds Max is a plus.
• Experience in leading and managing large-scale, complex architectural projects.
• Background in sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building systems.
• Experience with advanced architectural visualization and presentation techniques.
• Knowledge of project management tools and methods.
