Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Lead HVAC Engineer for one of our key clients in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Rotating Engineer with a proven track record in understanding the complexities involved in large-scale Gas Processing projects to meet objectives for a high-profile client.

Responsibilities
  • Performing HVAC engineering activities for projects
  • Act as Lead HVAC Engineer when required
  • Act as originator (or checker) and approver (where necessary) for all HVAC engineering deliverablesli>
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of discipline deliverables and activities
  • Coordinate with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables
  • Perform sizing of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of project
Expected Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industries.
  • O&G / Energy Transition Experience
  • FEED / EPC experience
  • Experience of client management and briefing activities
  • Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Sound technical, construction and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment, and systems.
  • Good project management skills within HVAC discipline.
  • Experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Experience in gas processing FEED project is mandatory
  • Knowledge of current ‘Green’ directives as they relate to HVAC and building service
