Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of Lead Engineer

As Lead Engineer, you will effectively manage the operations, ensuring that quality standards are met while maintaining the safest possible environment. It is crucial to achieve the frozen plan targets, coordinate with Warehouse, Quality, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations without any hurdles. It will be your responsibility to maintain the reliability factor of the machine by assessing the health of the machine and performance. Daily briefings should be conducted with line supervisors & Operators. Additionally, it's important to conduct Level 1 and Level 2 trainings for production staff to ensure safe machine operations, as well as adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).

Things you will be doing for the Business
  • Review the Lost Time Incident (LTI) and Medical Treatment Case (MTC) reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Conduct Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) talks weekly with Production and QA teams on the floor, ensuring attendance is marked
  • Keep available machine guards activated, maintain manual controls for risks where guards are not available, and report all near misses in Excel format for team awareness
  • Ensure food products are protected from contamination with unauthorized materials
  • Implement good manufacturing and hygiene practices focusing on food safety and audit requirements
  • Adhere to Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain rules on the production floor with visual and documented controls; conduct monthly 5S audits
  • Follow the weekly and monthly production plans without deviation; document reasons for any variances
  • Work closely with Warehouse (WH), Quality, and Engineering departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Calculate productivity and share daily numbers for focus and improvement
  • Calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for each line; report hourly for increased focus and improvement
  • Arrange regular training and grooming sessions for operators
  • Carry out Machine inspection and prepare health report and make sure execution of CILT.
What are we looking for in you?
  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical from a reputable local or foreign Institute.
  • A minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience of manufacturing within FMCG / Food sector, dry range food experience is preferred.
