Job summary

An Emirati construction company seeks a Draftsman Electrical to prepare and update technical drawings for substations and transmission lines. The ideal candidate has a diploma in CAD Engineering, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Strong technical knowledge of electrical layouts and experience in the UAE or GCC are highly desirable. The role involves ensuring high-quality drafting deliverables compliant with client standards, and it also provides the opportunity for involvement in significant infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years drafting experience in substation projects 400/220/132 kV.
• Experience with OHL transmission lines up to 400 kV.
• Previous experience in UAE or GCC is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAD drawings for substation layouts and single-line diagrams.
• Draft OHL drawings, including tower spotting plans and foundation details.
• Coordinate with site teams for clarifications.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Fluency in English

Strong technical knowledge of IEC standards

Good understanding of electrical layouts

Education
