Responsible for the collection/delivery, checking, marking, and tagging of all guests and other articles in-house.
Responsibilities
- Collects guest articles from the rooms or at designated area.
- Answers telephone calls from the guest rooms for laundry service or enquiries, following the established standard telephone manner.
- Performs the appropriate checking and marking/tagging and the delivery of all items after processing, following the established standard operating procedures.
- Inspect pockets of every item for any valuable items left by the guest.
- Scrutinize every item for any defects and other discrepancies and report to Supervisor for appropriate action to be done.
- After the processing of all items segregates, sorts and thoroughly checks every article, ensuring the fullest quality standard of cleaning or pressing, before putting into hangers and packing.
- Maintains cleanliness of the area and the machine at all times.
- Checks and maintains the condition of the assigned equipment. Reports to the Supervisor, at first notice on any unusual function of the machine.
- Maintains the daily delivery checklist of all the lots dispatched and delivered to the guest rooms. Double check every lot before delivering to the rooms making sure that it is precisely the right delivery.
- Maintain the appropriate availability of all the processing supplies. Makes follow up with the Supervisor to ensure the needed stocks are always on updated level.
- Performs the billing of charges and accomplish the daily Revenue Summary Report in accordance with the established standard procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness of the whole area all the time.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
- To ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
