Overview

A Kids Club Attendant at Waldorf Astoria is responsible for delivering exceptional care, warm hospitality, and engaging service to our younger guests (ages 4–12) and teenagers (ages 13–17) throughout their stay. The role focuses on creating memorable holiday experiences through participation in Kids Club activities and providing babysitting services when required.

Responsibilities
  • To organize and host age-appropriate, entertaining and educational activities for the teenagers, young guests and their families according to Children’s Club concept to create a fun filled atmosphere, providing safe care, a personalized and intuitive service.
  • To follow pre-opening, opening, closing and post-closing operational and cleaning procedures at the Children’s Club.
  • To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.
  • To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
  • To contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the Hotel.
  • To perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in your workplace.
  • To follow Hotel Service Delivery Standards operating standards at any time.
  • To offer teenagers and younger guests a safe and fun environment by maintaining a constant awareness of the children’s whereabouts.
  • To exercise discretion and good judgment when interacting with the teenagers and children and to communicate with parents in a tactful and courteous manner to generate a high level of comfort.
  • To intervene when a conflict arises or when a child needs extra attention or assistance in order to enjoy the activities.
  • To meet and greet arriving teenagers and young guests.
  • To provide babysitting services upon guest/GM request.
  • To ensure special focus on all children in the resort to provide them with a memorable holiday.
  • To handle guests’ complaints and ensure complete solution of any shortcomings – involve Supervisor and Duty Manager if necessary.
  • To seek to minimise costs through correct use and handling of hotel property and equipment.
  • To attend and actively participate in training sessions.
  • Any other tasks as requested by our guests, supervisor or Management of the resort.
  • Is obliged to take part in internal training courses and to implement what has been learnt in daily practice.
  • To handle Children’s club and Teens Club consumables and merchandising stock, managing available material.
  • To assist on organizing children experiences with other departments.
  • To assist on coordinating child amenities.
  • To organize and accompany outdoor and indoor activities, children’s sports, family activities and celebrations during holiday seasons.
  • To request cleaning or maintenance when necessary.
What are we looking for?
  • Children Teacher or Nurse, experience in handling teenagers and younger children
  • Proven experience working with children and teenagers, with the ability to manage and engage various age groups effectively
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times
  • Possesses intermediate proficiency in the English language (spoken and written)
  • CPR Certification/ children CPR and/or First Aid Training is preferred. Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
  • Educational background in Nursing or Teaching is an advantage
