Job description

As a Junior Purchaser, you will manage and execute day-to-day purchasing activities for Indirect Materials (IM) in accordance with Group Purchasing (GP) policies, principles, guidelines, and procedures. You will work closely with local stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement that supports the company’s business objectives.

This position reports to the Purchase & Planning Manager and is based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with user departments to identify and plan purchasing needs for assigned Indirect Materials (IM) categories.
  • Source and manage suppliers, support supplier audits, help implement global or regional agreements, and ensure purchasing activities follow Group Purchasing (GP) guidelines.
  • Support negotiations and help put commercial agreements in place, then create, track, and follow up on purchase orders in Matrix according to approved contracts.
  • Collaborate with GP category managers to support purchasing activities for Raw Materials, Packed Finished Goods, and Direct Packing Materials, including supplier performance, shortages, quality issues, and logistics requirements.
  • Keep purchasing data accurate and up to date by supporting invoice checks, system updates, supplier payment follow-ups, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Purchasing Manager.
We are looking for a candidate who
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • Graduates with 0-3 years of experience in Purchasing
  • Fluency in English – both verbally and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
