Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include using planning software like Primavera P6 or MS Project, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, identifying potential delays, and supporting senior engineers in resource and risk management.
- Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules, incorporating all project phases, milestones, and critical paths.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against the plan, conduct regular schedule updates, and report on variances.
- Data Analysis: Analyze project data, perform delay analysis, and support the preparation of progress curves, histograms, and resource analyses.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and updates for stakeholders, clients, and management.
- Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with project plans.
- Risk & Change Management: Support senior engineers in identifying project risks, analyzing change orders, and proposing mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Software & Tools: Use project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools for planning and scheduling.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and proper documentation of project schedules, updates, and reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, or related fields) is typically required.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams are important.
- Experience: Work experience between 0-12 months, including internships or traineeships, is often considered, with 1-4 years of experience preferred for higher salary ranges in some regions.
