Job Description: Enterprise IT Architect

Reporting to: Chief Digital and Innovation Officer

Position Overview

The Enterprise IT Architect will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping, governing, and evolving the enterprise technology landscape. Operating at a senior managerial level, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s enterprise architecture framework, ensuring that technology investments are aligned with business strategies, digital transformation goals, and regulatory requirements. The role will provide strategic direction, architectural governance, and leadership across IT domains to drive scalability, resilience, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Architecture Leadership
    • Define, develop, and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards aligned with business objectives.
    • Partner with business and IT leaders to translate strategic objectives into architectural designs and technology initiatives.
    • Ensure the enterprise architecture supports innovation, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and frameworks across applications, infrastructure, data, security, and cloud.
    • Drive architectural governance and compliance with enterprise policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage architectural review boards and ensure consistent decision‑making.
  • Technology Roadmap & Innovation
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the enterprise.
    • Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, API integration, and digital platforms.
    • Develop long‑term roadmaps to ensure agility, interoperability, and resilience.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with senior executives, business leaders, and IT leadership to align technology with business priorities.
    • Mentor solution architects, domain architects, and technical teams to ensure architectural alignment.
    • Facilitate effective communication across business units, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Risk & Performance Management
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology architecture decisions.
    • Optimize IT performance through standardization, reuse, and simplification of technology assets.
    • Ensure architectural scalability to support future business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise or solution architecture leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar).
  • Proven track record in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), application modernization, and digital transformation.
  • Solid knowledge of data, security, infrastructure, and integration architectures.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
