Purpose
The role is responsible for leading the strategy delivery and governance of enterprise applications to ensure alignment with IT and business objectives with a focus on enabling AI-driven capabilities. This strategic and hands‑on role defines the Target Operating Model TOM for Business Solutions develops multi‑year application roadmaps and drives operational excellence across key platforms including Oracle ERP (Fusion/EPM), Dynamics CRM and Adobe Experience Cloud. The role also includes application rationalization, vendor management and ensuring compliance with governance, risk and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of the Business Solutions operating model balancing centralized and decentralized ownership with clear governance structures.
- Establish accountabilities, processes and engagement principles to ensure efficient application management.
- Create and maintain a two‑year enterprise applications roadmap aligning with business and IT strategies.
- Identify and prioritize key initiatives (e.g. Oracle Redwood, Dynamics CRM enhancements, Adobe integration) that drive automation and AI capabilities.
- Assess the current enterprise application portfolio and define the target‑state landscape (invest, divest, replace, retire).
- Provide recommendations on sequencing, prioritization and implementation of changes to optimize the portfolio.
- Formalize a "Permit to Operate" framework for all enterprise applications ensuring adherence to checkpoints, approval criteria and go‑live governance.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational stability, quality and performance across key enterprise platforms.
- Strengthen vendor relationships ensuring timely renewals, compliance with SLAs and performance tracking.
- Drive cost optimization leveraging strategic value from technology partners and enhancing vendor accountability.
- Lead and mentor a high‑performing collaborative team focused on project delivery, communication and capability development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and ensure the team delivers predictable high‑quality outcomes.
- Ensure governance maturity across all enterprise applications with a focus on maintaining audit readiness, adherence to IT security policies and continuous compliance with industry standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business IT or related field (Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or MSc in Information Systems preferred).
- Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, Oracle/Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
Experience
- 10 years of experience managing enterprise applications including ERP (Oracle Fusion/EPM), CRM (Dynamics 365) and digital platforms (Adobe Experience Cloud).
- Proven track record of leading application strategy and delivery from defining operating models to implementing multi‑year roadmaps.
- Strong expertise in application rationalization including portfolio assessment, modernization planning and vendor management.
- Hands‑on experience in overseeing large‑scale system upgrades or digital transformation programs (e.g. Oracle Redwood, Dynamics CRM enhancements).
- Demonstrated ability to drive governance, risk management and compliance within IT systems.
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of vendor management, SLAs, license renewals and vendor performance tracking.
- Experience with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical strategies into actionable business outcomes.
- Familiarity with cloud transformation programs (Oracle Cloud, Azure, Adobe Experience Cloud).
