A leading regional holding group with a diversified non-oil portfolio is strengthening its internal audit function by hiring an experienced Internal Auditor. This role reports to the Internal Audit Manager and is full-time based in Abu Dhabi.

The organisation operates across multiple sectors including manufacturing, infrastructure, building materials, healthcare, with operations spanning the UAE and wider Middle East.

Managing a sizeable multi-entity structure with thousands of employees, the group follows a long-term investment strategy and places strong emphasis on governance, risk management, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Execute internal audit engagements covering financial, operational, and compliance areas in line with internal audit standards
• Perform risk assessments, control testing, and detailed analysis of business processes
• Identify control gaps, assess effectiveness of internal controls, and propose practical improvement recommendations
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentation of findings to key stakeholders
• Follow up on corrective action plans and support continuous improvement of audit methodologies and practices

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit (up to 6 years approx)
• Experience within healthcare, contracting, construction, or related industries is a strong asset
• CIA certification completed or in progress (or any relevant)
• Solid working knowledge of internal audit standards, control frameworks, risk assessment, and IFRS
• A BIG4 background combined with an in‑house experience is ideal
• The successful candidate must be based in the UAE or GCC
• Exposure to SAP is a plus
