Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector- Roads to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector- Roads you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality safety and compliance of road construction and maintenance projects throughout the emirate.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of road construction maintenance and repair projects to ensure compliance with local standards and specifications
  • Utilize specialized equipment and tools to assess road conditions materials and workmanship
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings deficiencies and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Review and interpret technical drawings specifications and contract documents related to road projects
  • Collaborate with contractors engineers and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project quality
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites
  • Perform quality control tests on materials used in road construction and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections test results and project progress
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and findings
  • Stay current with industry standards regulations and best practices in road construction and maintenance
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in road inspection or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
  • Proficiency in using inspection equipment and tools
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in road construction
  • Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in using computer software for data entry and report generation
  • Familiarity with local road construction standards and regulations in Abu Dhabi
  • Valid UAE drivers license
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions in Abu Dhabis climate
  • Relevant certifications in road inspection or construction management (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform field inspections and navigate construction sites
