Job description
  • Monitor the implementation of health, safety and environmental arrangements at project site level, in accordance with legal and client requirements.
  • Keep up to date with the latest legal and health and safety standards.
  • Communicate and advise the Contractors on the implementation of the safe system of work.
  • Lead HSE Meetings, Campaigns, Surveillances, Training, etc.
  • Carry out internal audit on WME and Contractors HSE management system.
  • Review contractors health, safety and environmental plans, procedures, risk assessments and method statements against legal and client requirements prior to the work being carried out.
  • Deliver health, safety and environmental training to WME employees including but not limited to induction, and safe working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Project KPI requirements.
  • Plan daily site visits across project sites to ensure health, safety and environmental measures are in place before work begins.
  • Carry out joint HSE inspections with contractor HSE personnel and Management Representatives to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Record the findings of HSE inspections and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure the corrective / preventive actions are implemented at the site and the observations are closeout out on time.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports and Suspension of Work Instructions if necessary.
  • Ensure the adequacy and efficiency of emergency response plans by carrying out mock drills as per the project schedule and performance standards.
  • Lead the Incident Investigation process and provide necessary technical guidance to the Contractor for identifying root causes and preventive measures.
