Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a highly skilled Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations, develop policies, and provide training. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, a minimum of 5 years experience in HSE, and NEBOSH or OSHA certifications. This is a full-time position with no remote work option.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment while ensuring compliance with local and international HSE regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop implement and maintain HSE policies procedures and programs
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Investigate incidents accidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions
  • Provide HSE training and education to employees at all levels of the organization
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • Prepare and maintain HSE reports documentation and records
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging HSE trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE role preferably in construction oil and gas or manufacturing industries
  • NEBOSH or OSHA certifications preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
  • Proven experience in risk assessment incident investigation and safety training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in occupational health and safety software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to various work sites as needed
