Job summary

Une entreprise de construction recherche un Responsable Santé et Sécurité (H/F) pour superviser et améliorer leurs actions en matière de santé et sécurité. Le candidat idéal doit avoir entre 10 et 15 ans d'expérience dans le secteur, dont 5 ans en management, ainsi qu'une expertise reconnue dans la gestion des risques et une bonne connaissance du milieu de la construction. Le poste nécessite des déplacements hebdomadaires sur divers chantiers aux Émirats Arabes Unis, principalement à Dubaï.

Qualifications

• 10-15 ans d'expérience dans la construction, dont au moins 5 ans en management.
• Bonne connaissance du travail dans la région.
• Dispositions pour des déplacements fréquents et passer du temps sur site.

Responsibilities

• Maintenir et améliorer le système de gestion de la santé et de la sécurité.
• Concevoir et gérer des formations santé et sécurité.
• Fournir des conseils aux équipes fonctionnelles et de projet.

Position

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to work with our Senior Leadership to guide and support the success of our health and safety actions. This key role needs someone who thrives on diversity, including the team, the locations and the challenges. Expertise in construction health and safety risks, mitigation measures and regulations is essential, as is being able to foster the continual strengthening of our health and safety culture.

Main responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance our comprehensive health and safety management system.
• Design and manage health and safety training to ensure understanding of systems, risks and controls.
• Provide guidance and support to functional and project teams during the development of designs, methods, risk assessments, specifications and plans.
• Establish and maintain the inspection and audit schedules, and carry out regular inspections and audits across all sites, and of all systems.
• Interact with colleagues, clients and partners across all projects and functions, and provide guidance and support to deal with health and safety issues and challenges.
• Oversee and coordinate the frontline health & safety team, and mentor and coach them to develop and work independently
• Lead incident investigations and reviews, and coordinate the effective implementation of preventive actions.
• Analyze health and safety performance and make recommendations to management on improvements to reduce risk, particularly focusing on our objective "Zero Severe Injuries".

Profil sought

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise through recognised and respected qualifications in Health and Safety.
• At least 10-15 years of experience in construction, including a minimum of 5 years in management.
• Good knowledge of working in the region.
• Frequent travel and a desire to spend most of your time on site with frontline teams.
• Very organised to ensure that priorities are delivered and initiatives maintained.
• Great at influencing, and strong when necessary.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
