Join AECOM's 2025 Graduate Program

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Software Developer to join our Urbanism & Planning digital team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development experience working with Power BI, Excel APIs, and ETL tools, and a genuine interest in supporting urban planning landscape and masterplanning projects. You will help build digital solutions, dashboards, and data integration workflows that enhance planning decisions, city analytics, and project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software solutions integrating planning and urban data with Power BI dashboards, Excel APIs, and ETL pipelines.
  • Design and implement ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load spatial, socio-economic, and environmental datasets.
  • Build data models and visualizations that communicate insights to planners, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Automate workflows for integrating GIS, BIM, and planning data sources into unified dashboards.
  • Collaborate with planning, urban design, and digital transformation teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Support data quality validation and reporting for large-scale masterplanning projects.
  • Document and maintain software, ensuring scalability and usability across disciplines.
Software Exposure:
  • Experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, report/dashboard development).
  • Experience with Excel API or Microsoft Graph API for automation and data integration.
  • Understanding and practical use of ETL tools (e.g., FME, Talend, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Interest in urbanism, city analytics, project management, and planning data applications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an accredited University
  • Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
  • Exposure to programming (e.g., Python, C#, or JavaScript)
