Overview

Our client is a oil and gas company providing helium and medical gases to businesses. The company is located in Jebel Ali FZE and are expanding operations therefore are currently looking to hire a General Manager - Operations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the highest level of safety in every activity.
• Ensure technical compliance for products, assets, and operations.
• Provide expert operational support to group business development.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets including Capex & Opex.
• Support continuous improvement, efficiency, and productivity.
• Develop and manage operational KPI’s, reporting performance at regular intervals to inform the leadership team.
• Lead the operational team, showing vision & direction to promote development.
• Manage key projects, including geographical and product line expansion.
• Take an active and collaborative role in any senior team action.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Chemical) is essential.
• Management Degree would be desirable.
• Project Management qualification would be desirable.
• Minimum 10 years managing high volume, helium operations, preferably towards the MRI and breathing gas markets.
• Minimum 10 years in a senior management role, with experience of managing the full operational cycle in a diverse international environment.
