As the General Manager for Commodities International in Dubai, you will oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of the Commodities division. You'll lead a team of professionals to drive business growth and profitability, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic business plan for the Commodities division in line with overall objectives.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships to drive business growth.
- Manage the financial performance of the division, ensuring profitability targets are met or exceeded.
- Oversee the development and implementation of efficient operational processes and procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commodities industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with sound business decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the commodities industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
