Role Overview

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced Freelance Multi‑Inspector to support Oil & Gas Energy and Industrial projects. The role involves performing multi‑disciplinary inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and client requirements across various stages of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities related to welding, painting/coating, piping and/or structural works as applicable.
• Verify materials, workmanship and installation against approved drawings, ITPs, method statements and project specifications.
• Conduct visual inspections, dimensional checks and verification of fabrication, installation and testing activities.
• Review and verify inspection records, reports and quality documentation.
• Identify and follow up on non‑conformances, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with construction QA/QC engineering and client representatives during inspections.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with ASME, API, ISO, AWS, NACE/AMPP and project‑specific standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 35 years of experience as a Multi‑Inspector or QA/QC Inspector in Oil & Gas Energy or Industrial projects.
• Mandatory certifications: CSWIP, NACE/AMPP, BGAS, AWS, API or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of inspection standards and codes (ASME, API, ISO, AWS, NACE).
• Proven hands‑on experience in multi‑discipline inspection (Welding, Painting/Coating, Piping, Structural).
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Must hold a valid Freelance / Own UAE Visa.
