A major firefighting and emergency services provider in the UAE is seeking an experienced Fire Fighter/Driver Operator. The successful candidate will respond to emergencies and operate specialized firefighting vehicles while ensuring compliance with safety standards. We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Fire Fighter /Driver Operator to join our Emergency Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to all emergency situations, operating specialized firefighting and rescue vehicles, and supporting overall emergency operations in compliance with GCAA, ICAO, and ES standards. This role requires technical expertise, operational readiness, and strong teamwork skills to ensure effective emergency response and fire protection services across airport operations.
Respond to all emergency calls including aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and technical rescues. Operate, drive, and deploy fire service vehicles, including Major Foam Vehicles (MFVs), Water Tankers, Escape Stairs, and other utility vehicles in accordance with AES policies and ICAO category requirements. Ensure correct vehicle positioning, pump operation, foam system management, and support equipment usage during incidents.
Conduct daily inspections of vehicles, firefighting equipment, and PPE to ensure operational readiness. Report any faults, deficiencies, or damage immediately to the Lead Firefighter or relevant supervisor. Maintain detailed records of all checks, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Undertake all duties of a Firefighter, including firefighting, rescue, casualty care, and hazardous materials response. Use breathing apparatus and specialist equipment safely and effectively as per operational procedures. Work as part of a cohesive team under the direction of a Lead Firefighter or Officer during incidents.
Participate in station maintenance and housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Assist with inventories, inspections, and documentation as directed.
Participate in daily training sessions and drills to maintain operational competence under the ES Revalidation of Competence (ROC) programme. Attend internal and external training courses and assessments as scheduled.
Adhere to all GCAA, ICAO, and ES regulatory standards, procedures, and safety requirements. Report hazards, near-misses, and incidents in line with ES safety reporting protocols.
Uphold high standards of professionalism, conduct, and personal appearance as a representative of ES. Promote teamwork, communication, and respect within the team environment.
Maintain operational fitness and comply with all required medical and physical standards. Participate in routine fitness testing and health assessments. Maintain valid airside driving permits and licenses in compliance with AES and airport regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff, including fire prevention, community engagement, and operational support. Act down into the Firefighter role when operationally required, performing non-driving duties as necessary.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in airport firefighting or an equivalent emergency response role.
