Job summary

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Supervisor to support the Finance Department in managing daily accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring internal controls, and supporting the hotel’s financial performance in line with brand and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and income audit.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Monitor compliance with UAE statutory requirements, hotel policies, and internal control procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, working closely with the Finance Manager/Director of Finance.
  • Oversee cash handling, banking activities, and credit control processes.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Train, guide, and monitor junior finance team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and increase departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ finance/accounting experience, ideally in a five-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Sun, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
