Description

The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple entities within the group during a transformation period. The manager will ensure continuity in accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial planning while managing the complexities of the transition.

The role seeks a highly skilled and adaptable Finance and Accounting Manager to serve on an interim or secondment basis. The primary objective is to provide stable financial leadership and operational management during the critical transition phase of the company. The ideal candidate will be a change-maker who can ensure financial continuity, manage potential disruptions, and effectively lead the team through the challenges of this transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across the group. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS / local GAAPs.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and payroll. Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting. Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Audit: Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements. Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • 7+ years in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
