Job summary

A leading medical technology company is looking for a Field-based Technical Support Engineer in the United Arab Emirates. This role involves troubleshooting, servicing, and testing products, alongside managing preventative maintenance and customer communications. The ideal candidate will possess an engineering background, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Good English proficiency is required, and knowledge of IP networking and Arabic is preferred. Travel is required extensively.

Qualifications

  • Min 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Basic IP Networking knowledge preferred.
  • Arabic language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot products and provide technical support.
  • Service, repair, and maintain company products.
  • Test products and provide service reports.
  • Install, setup, and upgrade company products.
  • Fulfill Service Contracts with maintenance visits.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on work orders.
  • Collaborate with support functions and schedule visits.
  • Stay updated on compliance and legal aspects.

Work Flexibility: Field-based

What You Will Do
  • To troubleshoot company products and provide technical support to internal and external customers.

  • To undertake the servicing, repairing and preventive maintenance. of company products to the required standards ensuring all related procedures are followed.

  • To undertake the testing of company products and provide fully completed test and service reports.

  • To perform installation, setup and upgrades on company products as required.

  • To fulfill Service Contracts with planned Preventive Maintenance visits.

  • To ensure timely follow-up on all tickets / work orders.

  • To work with the appropriate support functions as well as the customers to schedule customer visits.

  • To elevate opportunities and issues through appropriate channels and stay up to date on compliance and legal aspects related to his / her job on an ongoing basis.

What You Will Need

Required:

  • Engineering background (Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Preferred. Biomedical, Telecommunications, accepted)

  • Fluency in both spoken and written (technical and medical) English

  • Min 1 year of relevant experience

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Computer skills / literacy

Preferred:

  • Basic IP Networking knowledge

  • Arabic language
