FF&E Interior Designer – Hospitality & Commercial

Location: Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai

Work Type: On-site & Full time

Reporting To: Partner & Head of FF&E

Availability: Immediate joiners preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled FF&E Interior Designer – Hospitality & Commercial to join our Design Studio in Dubai Healthcare City. This role is suited for a senior-level designer or a strong FF&E Interior Designer ready to progress into a Senior FF&E Interior Designer position.

The successful candidate will lead FF&E design from concept through execution, working across hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects, while coordinating closely with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Concept Development
  • Lead FF&E design concepts from initial ideation through to final execution across hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects
  • Develop space planning, layout studies, mood boards, material palettes, and FF&E selections aligned with project briefs and brand standards
  • Translate creative concepts into well-resolved, buildable design solutions
Design Documentation & Technical Delivery
  • Prepare detailed interior design documentation including layouts, elevations, sections, joinery details, schedules, and specifications
  • Produce coordinated IFC drawing packages in collaboration with all disciplines
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples to ensure design intent and quality compliance
  • Ensure all designs comply with local authority regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Present design concepts and FF&E proposals to clients, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Manage client feedback and incorporate revisions efficiently while maintaining design integrity
  • Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor implementation, resolve on-site design issues, and ensure accurate execution of FF&E design
  • Provide design solutions and technical support during construction and installation phases
Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and guide junior designers where required, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to design standards
  • Contribute to studio best practices, workflows, and quality control processes
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with a strong focus on hospitality and commercial projects, preferably within the Middle East.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating concept design through execution (creative and technical capability required)

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit (BIM)
  • Experience with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to lead projects from concept stage through full IFC delivery, including multidisciplinary coordination
  • Experience delivering mixed-use projects from concept to IFC is essential
  • Working knowledge of 3D visualization tools such as 3ds Max, Lumion, Enscape, or similar is a strong advantage
  • Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, furniture, and FF&E selection
