About the Role

Our client, a well-established MEP contracting firm in the UAE, is seeking a Electrical Engineer (MEP) to oversee the full project lifecycle from design and planning to execution and site supervision.

The ideal candidate is already based in the UAE, has completed full-cycle MEP or EPC projects, and is capable of managing multiple sites, consultant coordination, and contractor teams. This is a client-facing role requiring technical depth, leadership, and operational control.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design, scope, and specifications for assigned MEP projects.
• Oversee project planning, procurement, and execution across multiple construction sites.
• Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment at all stages.
• Supervise the deployment of labour and site supervisors across up to 7 simultaneous projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to materials, approvals, and contractor performance.
• Use AutoCAD for design markups, project schematics, and as-built documentation.
• Monitor project costs, risks, and performance; raise early warnings for delays or cost overruns.
• Interpret contracts and technical clauses; support the legal and commercial team on compliance.
• Ensure health & safety standards are enforced at every site and stage of the project.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of UAE-based experience (8 years preferred) in MEP or EPC projects.
• Must have completed at least one full project cycle (minimum 2-year duration).
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and general project design tools.
• Familiarity with contract interpretation, BOQs, and technical clauses.
• Hands-on experience in procurement, site execution, and labour deployment.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent construction sites and field teams.
• Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
• PMP Certification is an advantage.
• Candidates must be currently based in the UAE with stable career history.
