Job summary

An international engineering consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and production efforts. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in metro rail projects, and possess strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with numerous standards, managing multidisciplinary coordination, and preparing technical documentation. Excellent communication skills and software knowledge are essential. Open to all applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the design of electrical systems.
• Experience preferably on metro rail or large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Dubai regulatory requirements is an advantage.

Context

Electrical Engineer

Missions / Main Duties

• Leading the design and production in addition to the coordination and review.
• Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the design and implementation of lighting, power distribution, Fire alarm,Emergency lighting, Earthing and Lightning protection,ELV systems, ensuring compliance with Dubai / UAE, CIBSE,international standards (e.g., IEC, BS, DEWA,DCD, etc.).
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with MEP, architectural, and civil works, and manages interface with others disciplines. HVAC, Fire fighting, Dewtaring, Escalator / Elevator and power supply systems.
• Prepares and reviews technical documentation, calculation notes, cable schedules, shop drawings

Profile / Skills

Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Relevant certifications and experiences with Duabi regulatory requirements are an advantage

Profile & Background

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the design, of electrical systems,, preferably on metro rail or large infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Software knowledge on ETAP / Amtech / Dialux / Relux and Review knowledge on Revit / Navisworks.
• Strong knowledge of medium / low voltage distribution, lighting controls, electrical load calculations, and local authority approval processes is required.
• Successful track record on rail and metro project.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
